With 20 years experience of offering contract hire and hire purchase, Applewood Vehicle Finance Ltd has grown from a small operation within a Renault dealership offering ad-hoc finance products for retail customers to being a known and respected brokerage with a position of strength within the volatile and changing motor industry.

Steady Growth

Over a period of nine years the company enjoyed modest growth and in 1998, a purpose built conversion of an industrial unit became the new trading premises in Royston, Hertfordshire.

A change of ownership in 2003 also prompted a change in direction and additional services were offered to the customer base.  The business continued to grow until in 2006 the existing premises were no longer suitable and the business expanded to two separate offices: the Head Office based in Rutland, handling the marketing, administration and sales and a second sales and administration office in Babraham near Cambridge.

The years of experience within the Company ensure the provision of a first class service, the highest level of both product and industry knowledge and above all a willingness to provide the best service possible.

The stated aim of the company is to make leasing, a car or van, a straightforward and painless process from the first enquiry to the delivery of the vehicle right through the contract and the collection and replacement of that vehicle.

Active Member of The British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association

The Company is a member of the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA) and Rob Chisholm, the Managing Director, sits on the Leasing Broker Committee at the BVRLA which is aimed at raising the profile of the professional leasing broker in the eyes of both the customer and the industry as a whole.

The Company is also an Appointed Representative of Premia Solutions Ltd who is authorized and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA). This entitles the company to offer Gap and Return to Invoice Gap Insurance products.
